A fascination with arrangement influences my work. I select certain objects and paint or draw them in systematic formations, exploring the visual effects of order and repetition. The individual components related to the real world can be regarded as descriptions or become abstract elements in the overall composition, while the time it takes to observe and translate the minute detail with paint or pencil becomes a sort of meditation for me.
