I completed my BA in Media Studies and Fine Art in 2008, however after graduating I struggled to find my artistic voice. I tried portraits, abstract, and landscapes but could not find a style or subject that was authentically me. As a result, I stepped away from art for over a decade. Luckily (depending how you look at it) an untimely knee injury around 2 years ago allowed me to reconnect with my passion for drawing. My latest drawings feature nostalgia from the 80's, 90's and early 00's, and comfort food such as a warm chocolate brownie or a jam doughnut. These drawings are intended to reconnect people with fond memories from their childhood, or fond memories generally. I use grey paper for my colour pencil drawings as it complements the colour better creating a more realistic finish.
