Beginning in October 2019, Soap Drawings is a daily drawing practice that documents a bar of soap resting on a soap dish. Each drawing records almost imperceptible changes in the soap’s form as it slowly diminishes through use, until it eventually disappears. Once the bar is gone, the process begins again with a new soap on a different dish. Over time, this repetition accumulates into an archive of days passed, gestures repeated, and matter transformed.
