I work with spaces that are in the act of disappearing. Post-industrial sites are often overlooked and unstable. My practice moves between drawing printmaking and sculpture, constantly responding to the environments I find myself in. I’m drawn to how these spaces are encountered through the body and how perception unfolds through movement rather than detached observation. The Reverb Series is part of a wider body of work developed over a year-long investigation of derelict sites. Initial encounters involved direct engagement moving through confined interiors, adjusting to shifting light conditions whilst negotiating fragile structures. As access to these sites became more restricted the work moved into the studio materials where cut and folded to be assembled in ways that emphasise tension and fragility, structures where held in unstable states allowed to shift and collapse, rebalancing over time. Mirroring the precarious nature of the sites themselves, where forms respond as much as they are shaped.
